--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for downloading Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green Remastered! This Archive contains all 75 tracks from the Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green soundtrack, in a high quality, remastered form! This was all made possible, thanks to AGBPlay, and a special hacked ROM, with high quality samples integrated into the ROM. The result is a sound miles cleaner than the original game, and accurate reverb and mixing (to ingame, that is, not the OST release). All converting and tagging was done by N6161, who took the time out of their day to get this all done, so I could share it here on the channel, with you all. Seriously, I was not looking forward to tagging another Pokemon soundtrack so soon, but N6161 saved the day here, and made it to where you all can listen to these way sooner than they otherwise would have come out. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Special thanks goes to the following people: Kurausukun - For letting me know of his high quality Pokemon Gen 3 hack, for making the fork of AGBPlay used in this project, and for allowing me to convert and distribute tagged FLAC files for you all to enjoy. ipatix - For fixing bugs spotted with AGBPlay, when pointed out, and for creating the AGBPlay tool, to begin with. N6161 - For converting and tagging all of the music, using the original GBA music album as a reference point. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kurausukun's Links are below: https://github.com/Kurausukun https://twitter.com/kurausukun https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkfYSFodtwy5eYo65PRVM9A ipatix's Links are below: https://www.youtube.com/c/theIpatix https://github.com/ipatix --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kurausukun's Modified fork of AGBPlay (used for these tracks) can be found here: https://github.com/Kurausukun/agbplay The original AGBPlay tool from ipatix can be found here: https://github.com/ipatix/agbplay Kurausukun's high quality Pokemon Gen 3 hack can be found here (build instructions not included): https://github.com/Kurausukun/mp2k/tree/emerald --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As mentioned, if you spot any tagging errors, please do let me know, and ill get them resolved as soon as I can. If you also spot anything odd about a song or two, please do say so, for it could possibly be a bug that we can resolve. We wish to ensure that this release is as good as it can be, so any and all feedback about stuff like that helps. If your issues come down to the mixing of certain things, that is just simply how things are with the original MIDI data, and not an error of our own. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Below are some notes about this release that you may want to keep in mind, before you make any comments. GB Channel 1 Sweep is not implemented in AGBPlay. I do not know if the lack of implementation affects any songs or jingles in Fire Red and Leaf Green, but if something sounds off, do let us know, and we can get it resolved! The way AGBPlay in general handles PSG is different from hardware. The result is generally cleaner, but may produce a much different sound, due to lack of ailiasing, which the original hardware had. PSG volume may also not line up 1 to 1 to the original tracks. It's possible the tracks may be remixed to better reflect the original PSG volumes, but doing so would be a rather time consuming effort, so it would probably not happen anytime soon. It's also worth noting that Kurausukun may possibly go back and update some samples, meaning an entire new upload will be needed to reflect those changes. But for now, the samples should be fine. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That's all I have to say here. Thank you all for checking these out! Hope you enjoy them! In terms of what is next for Pokemon, I'm not sure. I'd say, just stay tuned, and find out! ~Infomaniac95/The Brickster/Mr. Skeltal
